Anthony Nolan Cell Therapy Centre, Clifton Campus
Interserve designed and constructed a two-storey stem cell therapy centre and bio-archive storage facility at the Clifton Campus at the Nottingham Trent University.
This is one of the first Stem Cell Research facilities to be constructed in the U.K. and will provide a regional, national and international resource for the use of blood stem cells in bone marrow transplants and treatment of leukaemia.
The ground floor houses Reception area, Administration and Grade C & D Clean Rooms. The first floor consists of Administration, IT and laboratories. The roof space will be utilised as archive stores and also includes plant room for Clean Rooms Plant. A car park upgrade was also included within the project.
The Considerate Constructors Monitors Site Report summary read as follows: "This is a neat and well run and presented site, managed with great consideration for the environment, the student population and the workforce".
