BT estate refurbishment

Interserve provided a ‘one stop shop’ turnkey solution reporting direct to BT for the delivery of all its priority sites on the new 21st Century Network.
This is BT’s programme to upgrade the telecoms infrastructure from the existing multiple fixed line networks to one multi-capability platform.
Our centralised framework and delivery team through our regional office network enabled us to provide excellent customer service through the provision of:
- A single point of contact between the delivery team and BT
- A lean delivery unit, avoiding unnecessary layers, with managed risk
- Delivery team with knowledge of the product, BT Estate and the operational risks
- A fully-integrated supply chain, with certainty of cost and programme reporting
- Ongoing advice on long-term and strategic developments
Interserve was engaged to provide the following services as well as the Principal Contractor duties:
- Cost management
- Programme management
- Design management
- Supply chain management of BT corporate suppliers
Working closely with BT, Interserve developed a fixed price cost model and the design solution, managed all the designers and project managed all our regional business units to achieve successful project delivery.
