The strategic brief was to project manage and design the cost-effective refurbishment of the existing catering facilities to support up to 300 personnel. The construction value of this project was £2.5 million.

- Developed plans to modify existing facility layout, improving design and flow, enabling the client to move closer towards achieving JSP (Joint Services Provision) standard where previously this was not achieved
- Full cost control and cost effective solution design, for example retaining existing elements where appropriate combined with refurbishment programme
- Worked closely with the client to adjust the design to provide better value for money and mitigate risks
- Innovative approach to solutions, including building in sustainability improvements such as solar heating for hot water and inductive cooking to reduce ongoing energy demand
- Undertook collaborative working, partnering with Design Team Capita Symonds and jointly facilitating risk workshop
- Instilled reviews and continuous improvement into the project to optimise benefits for the client
- Shared benefits of experience to suggest possible improvement options to original specification
