Haymarket, Edinburgh's new commercial districtThe Haymarket’s strategic position makes it one of the most accessible business locations in Edinburgh. Situated adjacent to the newly refurbished Haymarket rail station, the scheme has excellent links to the UK and International destinations.

The Haymarket site is one of Edinburgh’s last remaining major gap sites. Detailed planning approval has been granted, following an extensive consultation programme with the local community, with the scheme gaining backing from the city's business leaders as well as praise by planners for the high quality of its architectural design.

Masterplanned by Scottish award winning architectural firm Richard Murphy Associates, the four acre scheme in the heart of Edinburgh, will provide a new financial and commercial district providing over 3,500 jobs when complete.

Principal uses within the scheme are:

  • 404,000 square feet of office space
  • 60,000 square feet of retail and leisure space
  • 165 bed apart-hotel
  • 190 bed hotel
  • 321 space underground car park
  • Contemporary public realm

Tenants already committed include Q Park, Tesco and serviced apartments provider Staycity as well as food chains Prezzo and Pret A Manger. Hotel operator Premier Inn have also committed to a 190 bedroom hotel.

The Scottish Partnership for Regeneration in Urban Centres (Spruce) fund, established by the Scottish government and European Regional Development Fund, has committed to investing £9.6 million in the project.
