Steven Dance

Executive Director

Steven Dance is an executive director of Interserve Plc and Managing Director of RMD Kwikform Ltd, the Group’s Equipment Services division. He was appointed to the Board in January 2008.

RMD Kwikform designs and supplies its own range of unique formwork, falsework and shoring products on a hire and sale basis to customers in the construction sector worldwide, with 14 regions of direct operations in Europe, the Middle East, Australasia, south-east Asia and South America.

Steven began his career with Schlumberger in the Middle East in the oilfield sector after which he completed his MBA and moved into manufacturing. He then served 12 years with Coats Viyella plc where he held a variety of general management positions and was based in Germany, Portugal, South America and the UK. He subsequently worked for four years with ScottishPower plc executing a number of M&A transactions including the disposal of utility subsidiaries in Australia and the UK and the flotation of Thus plc. Most recently he spent three years with ERICO heading divisions supplying the international construction market with couplers, fixing and fastening systems, before joining Interserve in 2004.

Steven is a Member of the Board of Examiners at the Institute of Directors. He was born in October 1957 and holds an MA in Natural Sciences from Oxford University and an MBA from London Business School.
