Interserve wins NASC Safety Award

NASC-Awards-2009Interserve has won the prestigious National Access and Scaffolding Confederation (NASC) Safety Award. The services, maintenance and building group received the award from the access and scaffolding trade body at a ceremony at the Sheraton Grand Hotel in Edinburgh on Friday 20 November.

Mark Graveney, Chief Operating Officer at Interserve Facilities Management, commented: "Health and safety is of paramount importance to our business so we’re delighted to have received this award. It recognises our stringent safety procedures and controls, our exemplary track record and our top level commitment to health and safety."

David Chapman, NASC Health and Safety Advisor, commented that Interserve was a clear winner of the award.

Interserve has developed and implemented CATS, ‘Changing Attitudes Towards Safety’, a health and safety initiative that was launched 18 months ago to raise employees’ awareness of work place hazards. The company also operates a ‘Don’t walk by’ policy to encourage staff to report health and safety issues.
