Interserve pledges support for Help for Heroes
The start of 2010 marks the beginning of a new partnership with Help for Heroes after staff at Interserve, the services, maintenance and building group voted to support the charity during 2010 and 2011.
“By supporting Help for Heroes we hope to be able to make a real difference to the rehabilitation of the wounded and provide practical direct support for our Armed Forces,” said Adrian Ringrose, Interserve’s Chief Executive. “And since our staff were instrumental in choosing Help for Heroes, I know that they will work hard individually to raise further funds in addition to what we donate corporately.”
Bryn Parry, Chief Executive Officer of Help for Heroes, remarked, “When Emma and I decided to do our bit to help wounded servicemen in 2007 we had no idea so many people across the UK would decide to join us and, together, create the Help for Heroes phenomenon. People have run, climbed, cycled, swum, parachuted, baked, in fact done just about anything honest and decent to raise money to support our blokes. The money raised, £40 million to date, is all used to provide direct, practical support to those wounded in the service of our country. We have already spent millions of pounds and we have a shopping list of future projects that will ensure they get the very best. We may not be able to prevent them from being hurt but we can certainly do our bit to help them get better.”
“It is great news that Interserve has chosen Help for Heroes as their new charity partner for the next two years. We look forward to Interserve staff holding many fundraising events all around the UK, raising lots of money for Help for Heroes.”

About Help for Heroes
Help for Heroes (H4H) was founded by Bryn and Emma Parry after a profoundly moving visit to Selly Oak Hospital in the summer of 2007. Bryn and Emma met some extraordinarily brave young people who had been badly wounded and they just wanted to do something to help. Website: www.helpforheroes.org.uk.
