Interserve wins major commendation in BCE Environmental Leadership Awards 2010

Interserve, the international services, maintenance and building group, has been given a Major Commendation in the BCE Environmental Leadership Awards 2010. The award recognises the success of Interserve’s RENEWABLES sustainable development strategy in driving internal behaviour and in helping clients address their environmental responsibilities.

Founded by Sir Peter Parker in 1975, the Business Commitment to the Environment (BCE) scheme is the longest running, and one of the most prestigious, environmental award schemes in the UK. The awards, entered by several hundred companies, are assessed under strict criteria and are given only to the few companies that the judges recognise as meeting the commercial demands of the present without compromising the environment for future generations.

Steven Dance, Interserve Executive Director, said, “This is a proud moment for Interserve. We have put a huge amount of work into creating our RENEWABLES strategy and into making sure that it has a very real impact on the way we do business, and it’s wonderful to see that effort recognised through such an influential award.”
