Interserve Wins Major Industrial Services Contract With GDF Storage Limited

GDF Ltd new underground gas storage facility in Stublach, CheshireInterserve, the services, maintenance and building group, has been awarded a multi-million-pound contract with  GDF Storage Limited

(a subsidiary of GDF Suez) to provide the mechanical, electrical and instrumentation services required for the first phase of construction at the company’s new underground gas storage facility in Stublach, Cheshire.

 

The plant is being engineered, procured and project managed by Costain Oil, Gas and Process Ltd (COGAP). Interserve will deliver the key mechanical, electrical and instrumentation packages for the solution mining compound, consisting of the degassing tank area, pump house and numerous associated well heads, all of which are connected to underground supply pipework.

Interserve’s primary mechanical support facility, based at Ellesmere Port, will be responsible for delivering all fabricated parts consisting of 4.6km of complex, high integrity pipework, 60 tonnes of access steel work and all associated pipework supports.
