Interserve scoops British Council of Shopping Centres' customer service awardsInterserve's Meadowhall shopping centre team is celebrating success after two of its members scooped a coveted ACE Stars 'Achieving Customer Excellence' award in the British Council of Shopping Centres' national finals.

Wayne Windle, Centre Supervisor and Marc Casson, Oasis Food Hall Assistant collected their awards on the 13 June at a gala dinner held at the Mercure Hotel, Manchester; having both received excellent reports in mystery shopper visits that formed part of the judging criteria.

Interserve delivers a range of services to the centre including security, cleaning, reception and customer services, food court and waste management, landscaping and pest control. The 200 employees work across the 1.5 million square foot centre and support 25 million visitors a year.

The British Council of Shopping Centres ACE Awards is the UK's leading award programme for customer service in the retail property industry. Now in its 7th year this is the second year running an Interserve employee at Meadowhall has been recognised for their service excellence.

Dawn Osborne, Head of Operations at Meadowhall commented, "This is a great achievement especially considering the sheer volume of entries received this year from over 75 centres. We are very proud of Wayne and Marc, who have consistently demonstrated excellent customer service to become award finalists."
