To view the Interserve news feed in your news reader:
RSS stands for Really Simple Syndication. It is a technique designed to allow information published on a website to be fed automatically to anyone who has subscribed to the feed. The destination of the information can be another website or intranet, a computer or a mobile device.
For desktop or laptop computers there are three options for reading RSS feeds:
An
icon on a website indicates that a feed is available. Once you have enabled one of the reading options above, simply follow the instructions provided with the reader. Typically this will involve clicking or sometimes right-clicking the icon and either specifying a destination for the feed or pasting a link into the appropriate place in the reader.
Most mobile devices can also accept RSS feeds, although it may be necessary to download third-party software to make this possible. Consult your device’s instructions for advice.
Once you have subscribed to a feed your reader will regularly check the source to see if any new information has been published. When it finds some it will relay it to the destination specified in the reader, which, depending on the reader's capabilities, may be in an email-like interface, a scrolling news-ticker, and alerts window or several other formats. Unsubscribing is completely under your control – just open your RSS reader and remove the link.
You are free to use Interserve RSS feeds as part of a website, subject to our terms of use:
