Interserve Pledges Its Support To ChildLine

4 Jan 2006

The New Year marks the beginning of a new partnership for ChildLine after staff at Interserve Plc voted to support the children's charity during 2006 and 2007.

'By supporting ChildLine we hope to be able to make a real difference to children's lives when they most need it,' said Adrian Ringrose, Interserve's Chief Executive. 'And since our staff were instrumental in choosing ChildLine, I know that they will work hard individually to raise further funds in addition to what we donate corporately.'

ChildLine Corporate Partnership Executive Emma Bibizadeh said: 'We are thrilled to have been chosen by Interserve as their charity of the year. Every penny raised from this partnership will help us provide comfort, advice and protection to children in danger or distress.'

ChildLine is the UK's free 24-hour helpline for children and young people in danger or distress. Children can talk in confidence to trained volunteer counsellors about issues such as bullying, abuse and bereavement.

This new partnership with ChildLine follows on from a successful two-year relationship with Macmillan Cancer Relief during 2004 and 2005.
