John Lewis and Interserve Interiors

John Lewis

Within our in-house fabrication facility, we manufacture perimeter wall displays, free standing gondolas, pay point units, fitting rooms and specialist display units used throughout the entire John Lewis estate. In recent years, we have undertaken a number of refurbishment and new build fit-out projects on John Lewis department stores across the UK.

Paramount to the refurbishment and remodelling of the John Lewis estate is that disruption to their trading patterns is kept to a minimum.

Speed is also critical in delivering products and services on time, and in line with budgets and design intent, Interserve Interiors work closely with John Lewis’s own design and project management team as part of their ongoing store development program.

Throughout 2011, the Interserve Interiors team undertook the fit-out of the John Lewis department store adjacent to the Olympic Park in Westfield Shopping Centre at Stratford City.

Our dedicated ohn Lewis team worked across a number of departments within the department store, including: beauty and jewellery, lighting, electrical, nursery, haberdashery, sports and carpets and rugs, to name but a few. This also included the manufacture and installation of large quantities of joinery products, co-ordination of on-site M&E, flooring and perimeter walling with bespoke department solutions.

The John Lewis Stratford City incorporated new finishes and thus required our teams to work closely with John Lewis’s own design team to enable the successful manufacture, supply and installation within a challenging lead time.

This was part significant order for the roll out of bespoke furniture to six high profile John Lewis shops.

More recently, in 2013, we worked at the Southampton department store (West Quay Shopping Centre) to refurbish the beauty and women’s accessories departments.

This project involved an extension to childrenswear, a new perimeter to branded womenswear, an extension to women’s accessories, and consequential moves. It also involved the installation of new beauty perimeter and free standing kit to compliment two major high street beauty brands
