Jim Marner, President of the Building Engineering Services Association (BESA), has joined Interserve, the international support services and construction group, as regional director for the company’s engineering services division in the North East and Newcastle.
He takes up his new role after more than 30 years with SES Wates, where he was, most recently, the company’s business director. Jim served as divisional operations director, national pre-construction director and business development director during his time at SES. He established new regional operations in the North West, as well as taking on the role of non-executive director of the company’s off-site manufacturing facility.
Interserve Engineering Services managing director Mike Knowles said, “Jim will help drive our regional growth further, pushing into the north east of England so that we can deliver a national service with local resources to support our clients.”
Jim Marner said, “I am relishing this new opportunity, which gives me the chance to use my wide industry experience in a new setting, and I look forward to contributing to the business.”
