Interserve, the international support services and construction group, has been appointed as the single principal supply chain partner for the West Yorkshire Police’s Forcewide Security Works framework.
With a potential value of up to £4 million the contract is expected to last four years and will include a wide range of security upgrades to buildings within West Yorkshire Police’s estate. The framework has been procured via the YORbuild framework.
Interserve has a long standing working relationship with West Yorkshire Police and has successfully delivered projects ranging from building its new divisional headquarters to refurbishment projects.
Gordon Kew, managing director of Interserve’s construction business, said:
“We have a long history of working with the West Yorkshire Police and look forward to starting work on this new, long-term contract. We have an established track-record of working within high secure environments and will work collaboratively with the force to deliver this important programme.
We are committed to investing in the communities in which we operate; and we will look to maximise local supply chain involvement as well as generating skills and employment opportunities within the West Yorkshire region.”
Toni Palmer, of West Yorkshire Police, said:
”Following a successful tender exercise Interserve provided a clear understanding of our complex requirements and represented the best value to West Yorkshire Police. We look forward to working with Interserve in the delivery of these works.”
