Interserve has been shortlisted in three categories of the prestigious IWFM Impact Awards 2020.
The award scheme is run by the Institute of Workplace and Facilities Management (IWFM), which is the professional body for workplace and facilities practitioners. The awards celebrate the best of the workplace and facilities management profession.
Interserve’s Communities and International business unit submitted two of the company’s successful awards, while the company has also been shortlisted in a new category recognising how companies have responded to COVID-19.
The first submission is in the Workplace Experience category and is in relation to the work carried out to launch a total facilities management (TFM) service to the North West Nightingale NHS Trust Hospital in just 12-days from a standing start. The second nomination is for Interserve’s TFM team at University College London Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (UCLH) in the Positive Climate Category and concerns their multi award winning Sustainability Calendar Strategy and Awareness Campaign.
IWFM’s Chair of Judges Julie Kortens said: “Right now, we are seeing some of our profession’s best work and we should recognise it.”
Martin Burholt, Managing Director of the Communities and International business unit, said: “I am immensely proud of the work carried out by colleagues across the company during what has been an incredibly challenging time for the sector and I am delighted that these two teams are getting the recognition they deserve.
“The work undertaken to launch crucial TFM services to the North West Nightingale NHS Trust Hospital in less than a fortnight was truly outstanding and represents the very best of what private outsourcing companies can deliver when working in partnership with the public sector.
“Our UCLH team is also a worthy finalist. They have maintained a laser-like focus on reducing their carbon footprint and paper wastage while also participating in a range of recycling and community-focused events to provide that added social value which is such an important element of excellent contract delivery.”
The awards ceremony is being hosted virtually on October 12th.
