We are the largest provider of probation and rehabilitation services in England and Wales. We work on behalf of the government and supervise approximately 40,000 medium-low risk offenders at any one time.
We are transforming probation services by looking at the whole system so that we can meet the needs of individuals. This personalisation of services places the rehabilitation of the offender at the heart of decision-making and incorporates business transformation across operations, human resources, finance and information and communications technology.
PARTNERING FOR CHANGE
The breadth of our partnerships at a national and local level enables us to bring real change to people’s lives.
Based on the principles of our Charity Charter, we work with local charities and not-for-profit organisations. This enables us to provide a range of complementary services including restorative justice, domestic violence and drug and alcohol awareness programmes, and access to training and employment.
We aim to keep the public safe and reduce re-offending rates. We are able to expand and diversify the range of services we provide to meet local and national needs across justice and social care.
We work to prevent crime by reducing re-offending and working with our partner organisations. We provide access to a wide range of services including accommodation, behavioural change courses and financial advice. By making these services available to offenders via our Interchange model, we divert them from crime and provide them with life-changing skills and support.
